I am looking at the effect of global warming on changes in biodiversity within terrestrial ecosystems, and whether phenotypic plasticity may have a role in invader success. My previous work was in coastal systems with invertebrates and fish, but my research questions can be well addressed in terrestrial plant ecosystems, and plants are more easily accessed and do not swim away.

I also recognize the importance of making science research more accessible to school children at all grade levels so I am developing an educational component to my research design.
